Marassi Outer Marina Break Water – Sidi Abdul Rahman, Mediterranean North Coast, Egypt

The scope of work comprises the construction of the Marassi Outer Marina breakwaters and quay walls for boat berthing on a cast in-situ underwater – basins depths from 8, 6 and 4 meters complying with all applicable codes, technical standards, building, construction and environmental laws. Total breakwaters length reach approx. 1,200 linear meters with related core-lock protection fabrication and installation, navigation aids, fenders and bollards etc. Dredging about 500,000 m3 up to 8 meters deep with boats turning circle. Quay walls using cast in-situ underwater concrete and sheet piles with submerged breakwaters and beach side protection layer using rock material. Works also included the manufacture of an articulated floating barge allowing the passage of heavy weight vehicles (up to 250 tons) from one side to the other when needed.
